I’ve been thinking of business ideas lately. And it seems like I keep hitting this brick wall. Getting discouraged. Can I make it?

Then something flashed across my mind…

We recently cleared the garden in the house and we’ve been waiting to grow some plants on it. I don’t know how long the plants have been in the nursery for but I kept thinking that when will these plants grow so that we can finally have a lovely garden.

The fact is flowers don’t grow in a day and of course we know that trees take a while- a long while to mature and when they do they can live for very long!!
It’s paramount for every seed to grow on good soil just like the bible mentions in the parable of the sower, the seeds that fell on rocky ground sprang up quickly but because they had no real support they also withered away quickly. (Matthew 4:3-8)

So it is with your business!! It is everyone’s desire that their business will dominate and be leading and we all have unique ideas for our businesses.

So many seeds are planted in the minds of people but only a few percent actually get to the germination stage. That is why it is important that you have to have a good business plan. 

Just as I was taught in entrepreneurship class at the University, you have to have a market for your business and you have to be able to finance your business. You have to have sponsors- people that contribute to your business.

Also you have to be knowledgable about your business field. The learning never stops!! You have to know your competition and face your competition too.

You have to start somewhere and one thing that God keeps reminding me about is never despise the days of little beginning and of course the promise remains Job 8:7 “And though your beginning was small,your latter days will be very great.”

Don’t be afraid to start small. Either from your kitchen or your study or apartment. God always rewards those who are diligent. Trust God to open the right doors for you.

Don’t give up!!! Even though it looks like the stems haven’t started sprouting or it’s taking so long to make a profit. You will greatly increase and you’ll look back and be like ” I never saw how far I had grown” and all the glory will go to God.

In the light of that I’m starting my own business soon! ^__^ Pray for a sister!!!! Hehehehehe!
