The letter kills but the Spirit gives life (2 Chorinthians 3:6b). 

When studying the word of God there’s a place of faith and listening to the Holy Spirit unless we end up gulping down a bunch of words and end up full of nothing.

The work of the Holy Spirit is to be our helper (John 14:16-17) and also to reveal Christ to us. He only reveals the truth of the scripture. He is the power that we need to be Sons of God (Romans 8:14)

We can imagine what it feels like to eat a large size burger with all the juiciness, a pizza, fries, chicken, maxi sized coke and ice cream and your body is like ‘what is all this’. Your body either passes it all out or you end up being a reserve and adding a few unneeded pounds because all though it’s good food and no doubt delicious, most of it may not be needed by the body at that time.

The word of God is indeed needed and there is also a need to understand this word and the wisdom to accurately apply the knowledge of the word. The saying goes that you cannot give what you don’t have- so even before you can share the word there has to be something ministered to you.

The Holy Spirit is available to all men that have received Christ. Let’s not leave Him out of the way because He’s everything we want and need to live as conquering Christians. Let’s not be like you know who, knowing the scriptures like the back of their hand but not for once lived it’s life application(even after Jesus came and rebuked them). You need the Holy Spirit and you need the word. Just ask 😁
